Brie Larson is an American actress, filmmaker and singer. She’s known for films like Captain Marvel (2019), Room (2015), Short Term 12 (2013), and Hoot (2006). On the small screen she’s appeared in programs like United States of Tara, and Raising Dad. Larson was born Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers on October 1, 1989, in Sacramento, California. Her parents Sylvain and Heather separated in 1995. She has a younger sister named Milaine. Larson grew up in Los Angeles, California and attended the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
CAREER
Larson appeared on two episodes of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 1998. She followed up with small roles in the series To Have & to Hold, and Touched by an Angel. She held the role of “Emily Stewart” in the WB series, Raising Dad. The show was canceled in May 2002 after it’s first season. Larson starred in the 2003 Disney film, Right on Track. The following year she was featured in the films, 13 Going on 30, and Sleepover. She garnered some attention for her role in the 2006 film, Hoot, alongside Luke Wilson.
Larson landed the role of “Kate Gregson” on the Showtime series, United states of Tara, in 2009. The show ran for three seasons before being canceled in 2011.
