NeNe Leakes is an American actress and reality star. She rose to prominence on the reality series, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Her television credits include Glee, The New Normal, and Fashion Police. Leakes was born Linnethia Monique Johnson on December 13, 1967, in Queens, New York. She grew up in Athens, Georgia. She has four siblings including brother, Anthony Thomas, and half-sister, Kendle Kenya Sherman.

Leakes made her television debut in a 2004 episode of The Parkers. She had a bit role as a “stripper” in The Fighting Temptations (2003) starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyonce.
